Countries Restrictions

Passport Country Restrictions

The following passport holders may not be eligible when applying for the DTV from countries which are not their own home country. These restrictions may vary from embassy, and consulate so it is best to confirm first before applying.

Sanctioned Restricted Countries

ALGERIA, ANGOLA, BANGLADESH, BENIN, BOTSWANA, BURKINA FASO, BURUNDI, CAMEROON, CAPE VERDE, CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC, CHAD, COMOROS, CONGO (DRC) , CONGO (REPUBLIC OF CONGO), COTE D’IVOIRE, DJIBOUTI, EGYPT, EQUATORIAL GUINEA, ERITREA, ETHIOPIA, GABON, GAMBIA, GHANA, GUINEA, GUINEA-BISSAU, IRAN, KENYA, LEBANON, LESOTHO, LIBERIA, LIBYA, MADAGASCAR, MALAWI, MALI, MOZAMBIQUE, NAMIBIA, NEPAL, NIGER, NIGERIA, PAKISTAN, PALESTINE, RWANDA, SAO TOME AND PRINCIPE, SENEGAL, SEYCHELLES, SIERRA LEONE, SOMALIA, SOUTH AFRICA, SOUTH SUDAN, SRI LANKA, SUDAN, SWAZILAND, SYRIA, TANZANIA, TOGO, UGANDA, YEMEN, ZAMBIA, ZIMBABWE

Restricted Region Countries

AFGHANISTAN, IRAQ, NORTH KOREA 

* Visa for citizens of Afghanistan, Iraq and North Korea may have even stricter requirements, and require more documents.

Note:  Each Thai embassy or consulate worldwide may have varying requirements for submitting DTV visa applications. Some locations may require in-person applications, while others allow you to apply online through the e-visa system. Additionally, the required documents may differ slightly. We recommend contacting the specific consular mission directly if you are applying on your own to avoid any issues with your application.
